Monet's Saensche House
Calff Garden House built in 1704, Built by Nicolas Calff, one of the largest Wood tradesmen of Holland. Numbered among its guests Czar Peter the Great (1717), who donated bookplated marble of the main corridor. In 1871 the garden house was copied twice, The copies were immortalized by Monet in two paintings. Due to aritifcially lowered ground water levels, nearby building activity and tremors of modern day traffic by land and water, this building will not last another twenty years.
